Deep needs keep drawing retired Milwaukie man to help in Peru

By his own description, Bob Palandech, 66, has lived a well-rounded, interesting life.

He served in the U.S. Air Force, traveled Europe, and cruised along the coast of South America. He worked more than 30 years as an electrician helping to develop the electrical infrastructure for Portland high-rises and other structures and later served as president of his union, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 48.
