IBEW Local 48 members have good reason to be proud . With their help their local won a Union of the Year award for it's community activities in Southwest Washington, such as the Vancouver Sausage Fest and Vancouver Habitat of Humanity.
A Labor Roundtable of SW Washington awards event held at the Vancouver Hilton Friday, September 25th, drew a crowd of nearly one hundred union officers, reps, members, community commissioners and state representatives. ATU 757 provide a four member band for everyone's enjoyment. Keynote speaker, Chair of Commissioners, Nancy Baker spoke of the future of Port of Vancouver and how it helps our community prosper.
In addition, IBEW Local 48 member, Lee Duncan was given an award for his involvement with the Unions for Kids Poker Run & Chili Cook-off benefiting Doernbechers Children Hospital.
