The 2009 Annual IBEW Local 48 Picnic was a great success. The attendance was around 1,500. If you missed this year’s picnic, you missed a sensational time. It was a nice summer day with lots of food and fun for the entire family. We were honored to have the “Rose City Clown” (Jose Sponberg) come back and entertain children and adults alike.
This year’s picnic reached a new achievement with fifty volunteers, yes fifty! I would like to personally thank each and everyone for his or her help. Thank You! I would also like to express thanks to our Business Manager, Clif Davis for making this picnic a priority on his vacation from Hawaii.
Steve Vidito was kind enough to provide the following pictures again this year. Take time to enjoy the summer and we will see you at next year’s picnic.

Service Pin Awards were awarded by Local Union 48 at the Christmas Holiday Banquet. We owe a great deal of thanks to the Brothers and Sisters that worked to establish the standards that we enjoy today. Congratulations!
