Son of William Richard and Helen Marie Brooks.  Brother to Sally Ann (deceased), Brenda and Rick.

Carl married Marguerite Keller March 23, 1963 in Kansas City, Kansas.  He is survived by Marguerite, their children Mark, Allan (Theresa) and Pati, and grandchildren Jackson (deceased), Jefferton and Greyson.

Carl graduated from Wapato, WA High School.  After serving in the Navy four years, he returned to Vancouver and graduated from Clark College.  In 1962 he moved to Kansas City and began his career as an Electrician.  In 1979 Carl became an Electrical Inspector for the State of Washington, retiring Juanuary 31, 1999.  During his retirement Carl and Marguerite made annual trips to Mexico where they made numerous friends.

From September 2012 to March 2013, using their fifth wheel and pickup, they took an extended trip of 15,000 miles through all the outer states and eastern Canada.  Near the end of this road trip, Carl and Marguerite boarded a cruise ship to sail from San Diago to Hawaii in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary on March 23, 2013.  Days after returning home, Carl underwent surgery and subsequent recovery.

Another highlight was the September 2013 flight to visit special friends in Richmond, Virginia, who sold Carl his desired 1986 Corvette hardtop convertible.  Carl proudly drove that red Corvette every mile of the way home, visiting family and friends in Kansas, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington along the way.

After a period of illness, Carl passed away peacefully with his devoted wife Marguerite at his side.

Carl joined Local 48 in June 1964.  He retired in February 1999.  You can make a donation to New Horizons Church, 23609 NE Weakley Rd, Camas, WA  98607.
