Mike Bridges

Business Representative Mike Bridges has been an IBEW member for 25 years, serving in his current role for the last 8.

He served on the IBEW Local 48 Executive Board from 2011-2013 and as President of the Longview / Kelso Building & Construction Trades Council from 2008-2011. He has also served as Assistant Business Manager, President, and Executive Board member for IBEW Local 970.

Mike joined IBEW after two years at college, where he quickly realized he wanted a job that provided an “earn while you learn” model, one that could provide dignity in the workplace as well as a chance to step back and see what he had accomplished at the end of the day. He continues to be involved with the union as a way to give back for all that IBEW has given him.

“One of my proudest accomplishments has been to continue to grow IBEW’s footprint in the Washington portion of IBEW Local 48’s jurisdiction through relationships with the Building Trades and other community partners.”

Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with his kids Mara and Mason, fishing, hunting, and taking advantage of other outdoor activities here in the Pacific NW.
