Joe Bond
- Business Representative
Joe has been an IBEW member for over 15 years. Prior to his current role at Local 48, he was a shop steward for 5 years.
Joe always wanted to work with his hands and has always enjoyed building things. After trying college and realizing it wasn’t for him, Joe got into an apprenticeship program and never looked back. Joe also had some inspiration from his step-dad, seeing the work he accomplished as an IBEW member, and his ability to take care of a family of six working as a union electrician.
Joe’s favorite part of being an IBEW member is the feeling of family with everyone he works with. Everyone is always supportive and willing to help each other out in times of need. Being a part of something bigger than himself is a big plus. He also appreciates being a delegate on the Southwest Washington Central Labor Council, getting to work together with other unions to advance the vision of organized labor as a whole.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys being with his family, fishing, and working on vehicles.
IBEW World Record Holder for: “Most times being asked he and his brother are twins….they are not.”
