Vincent S. Bennett

Vincent S. Bennett, 81, of Menomonie, WI, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI.

Vincent was born on May 2, 1932, to Ernest and Austa (Wood) Bennett in Minneapolis, MN. Graduating from Breck High School in Minneapolis in 1949, he entered the United States Coast Guard thereafter. He quickly rated as an electrician, and retired as a Senior Chief. Vincent served in the Western Pacific, Icebreaker duty in the Artic, and in Duluth, MN. He retired in Seattle from the USCG District Command Staff. He worked at McCord AFB as an electrician until retiring, and began farming in Colfax, WI.

He is survived by his seven children, seven grandchildren and his brother.

Funeral services were held on Friday, December 20, 2013, at Grace Episcopal Church in Menomonie at 4:00 p.m.
