Dale E. Greeley
Dale E. Greeley, 86, of Kelso passed away Dec. 13, 2014, at St. John Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 19, 1928, in Chicago, to Albert Edson and Dorothy S. (Lierman) Greeley. The family moved to Longview when Dale was 2 years old. He graduated from R.A. Long High School.
He was a journeyman electrician at Weyerhaeuser for more than 40 years and worked out of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 11 years. He was a member of the Longview Eagles, Elks, Lewis and Clark Muzzle Loaders, Good Sam LoKeCo RV Club and past president of the Trailbreakers Jeep Club. Dale enjoyed bowling, jigsaw puzzles, swimming, hunting, card games and landscaping his home. He was outgoing and energetic. Dale was always willing to assist anyone in need.
Dale was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Shirley A. Greeley, Oct. 31, 2010, as well as four brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by a sister, Gladys Routhe of Fairbanks, Alaska; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Connie Greeley of Longview; a daughter and son-in-law, Vikki and Loren Sollee of El Mirage, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Rochelle Soleil and Marc Sollee and his wife, Jen, all of Phoenix, and Travis Greeley of Kalama; and eight great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Dale’s life will be announced at a later date.
